when i try to log into a server i get:

Error1017: Cannot login to the everquest server. you may need to re-run the update patche repeatedly seing this message indicates a loss of connectivity to the patch server.

how do i fix this of this?

you need an eqgame.exe dated before the 10th. Ask someone to pass you this file and when you've got it paste it in the eq directory. Then you can play again.

I get the same thing he does and I haven't patched after the 10th. I get it all the time, I can't log into the servers most of the time.

1017 is usually one of two things. It is either a version error, or a NAT issue (read connection issue). Most times though it is a version issue. When was the last time you patched EqLive? Dont try it now as it will break it, but if you are patched too old, it also wont run.
