Please help, Server doesn't work

Hi, I am new here.
Please forgive me if my question is silly.... -,-

I downloaded server files from here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...group_id=41381

(this is just the "Files" link point to, are these server files the latest?)

and set it up just as the step-by-step howto.

I updated eq to the latest version. import the sql files to the datebase. add an account.

I ran the server :
1, mysql
2, minilogin.exe
3, world.exe
4, boot5zones.bat

all the windows work just fine. got no error.

I ran my eq, use the account added just now, I can login and see the server on the server list. when I hit play. it go back to the server list screen, and received an 1017 error, and also got this message in the world.exe window:

85812 New client from ip: 192.168.0.2 port: 1128
[Error] Expecting OP_SendLoginInfo, got 254
Removing client from ip:192.168.0.2 port:1128

I checked all the related posts. but still have the problem...

the emu version is 0.5.2

Any suggestion would be a great help to me.

to be able to play with a live version of eq you will have to be on 5.5dr1(some dr1's not live compatible)..so in a nutshell hang out, read and wait for offcial 5.5 release

maybe a little stupid, but can I download a earlier version of eq which work with 0.5.2 ? If there is one. i really want it.

also asking for eq files is considered asking for Warez, it's really frowned upon here and may result in banning

I have no problems going to this site. This has been discussed before, but cant remember what the solution was, that is a thread somewhere in this forum. Try doing a search to see why you cant get to that page....

I 've checked those solutions but it doesn't work.

Also by searching in the forum, I got a link for version 0.5.3dr2 's download.

I downloaded it but still the same problem.

could u please give a link to the latest version? maybe 0.5.5dr2 ?

The newest version is 0.5.5 DR1 and is at the link that you said you couldnt get to. Unfortunately that is the the only place you can get it at the moment, as it is NOT a release but dev's version.. PM me with an email and Ill send it to you. You will also need to source into your db the jan24_update.sql file. I will send that to you. You will have to compile the source that I send. If you dont know how to do that then you should wait until the binaries (pre-compiled ) version comes out, as it is beyond the scope of this forum to explain that to each and everyone (though I think there is a post in the guides as to how to do this). ALSO, know this; there is NO support for this version of EqEmu, so if you have problems, you will have to search the boards for support on it.. If you agree to all lf that and still want it, send me a PM
