Has anyone heard of this issue? Does anyone have a clue?

Can you get EQLive to run OK or does it crash too?

That looks like it might be an EverQuest/Graphics Driver/DirectX issue instead of an EQEMu issue. . .

Also, are you trying to connect to a specific server (such as a private server on your computer) or are you just trying to get to one of the public EMu servers? Just wondering since you mentioned you have EQEMu 0.5.5. If that's the case, then you need to change your eqhosts.txt file to point to localhost instead of to eqemulator.net. Also, we'll need to see a dump of MiniLogin.exe, World.exe, Zone.exe, and your MiniLoginAccounts.ini, LoginServer.ini, and db.ini files.

If you are getting this on live as well, as Mikenune asked, the EQLive tech boards are worth taking a look at:

E.g.

http://eqforums.station.sony.com/eq/...essage.id=8976

Tech Support board homepage is:

http://eqforums.station.sony.com/eq/board?board.id=tech

Apologies if you checked this out already.

I have tried to connect to the Live servers with identical results. I have looked at the Verant Tech support forums. They were no help.

I'm guessing it is a DX9 related issue. I'll do some more research on it. I have the sinking feeling that I'll just need to wait for Verant to get thier shit together on this. It seems like they hosed a lot of customers with this patch. What's new with those Fuckers?!
