i have eqw pointed to eqemu 5.6 eqgame and have ensured that host file is right, but keep getting kicked back to choose server screen.
can someone give me some ideas on how to fix this?
am i supposed to copy my eq files from the sony directory then paste them inside eqemu 5.6 or some thing?

you need to repatch with eq live next... The 5.6 server's client interface has changed so you need to patch your eq client with Sony next so your client will talk to the 5.6 server.

there are lots of reasons for you to be kicked back to server select:

1. Your trying to connect to a 5.5 server and have patched to the latest client.

2. Your trying to connect to a 5.6 server and havent patched to the latest client.

3. The server owner has the wrong ip address information inside their configuration files.

4. The server owner hasnt setup their router or firewall to allow connections on the port that the zone(s) are running on.

5. The server owner has the Windows XP firewall enabled.

Default Help

I'm having the same problem. I keep getting booted to server select. I have

+ Tried Several Servers
+ Updated Recent Patches to Eqlive
+ Tried 5.6, and 5.5 Servers
+ Updated my driver
+ Checked my Eqhost

...but still keeps kicking me to server select. Any ideas?

I'm having a similar problem.

When I saw that 0.5.6 was out, I went ahead and patched to live. Now, I can log into 0.5.6 servers just fine. However, if I try to log in with a pre 0.5.6 char, the game acts like it's going to load, then, right as you should start playing, you get kicked back to the server screen.

When I create a new char on one of the servers though, I gan get logged in and play just fine.

Any ideas on what's going on?
