I get the same lag issue. But I have a server up on the EQEMU login screen. and testing it on the same computer ... my ping rates are sky rocketed. im on a cable modem, and my consistancy in killing mobs, inventory, etc. are bad as well.
YOu have a great point though, I wonder if that is part of the problem, less packets sent, = less packets received =)
But then again, I only notice it once in a while. I can be the only one logged into it too, or on another computer.
the sit and stand trick does not work, but I did notice if I turn my back from a open part in the zone, the ping rates drop back to 300ish...
