slight forum change?
seems people cant find half the things they need answers for. search is kinda clogged.
how about adding a new section to the forums, Offical EQEmu Tutorials. with one section being for setting up a server, and another for playing. (maybe a 3rd with errors and how to fix them) this would be a dev-moderator only posting area, someone posts a good tutorial, or something needs updateing, move it from the old tutorials section to the offical spot.

Yeah, it would be great to have one tutorial for these things. The current tutorials & howtos section has too many guides to setting stuff up that are just slighty different.

I got about the same idea few days ago, but mine was to lock actual tutorial section to only dev/mod.
A tutorial is a tutorial, its here to help, and is not designed to post your problem and then answer, having 2 tutorials sections, one official and another as a "jack'of'all'the'trade" sound stupid for me.
Its my personnal point of view, but for me, EQEmu Support should look like this :
General Support (All kind of support, old tutorial)
Win32 Server Support
Linux Server Support
EQEmu Tutorials (Like you said, locked, dev/mod add "GOOD" tutorials here)
PacketCollector Support
Main problem isnt really we need 2 tutorials, its people just dont post everywhere and dont read comments ... Look at post under tutorial section, all will fit General Support and Win32 Support ...

I have an idea. There can be a forum called "User Tutorials" and then a forum called "Official Tutorials". Official will consist of only allowing Developers, Support Helpers, and other specified User Groups to allow posting topics. When I say other specified User groups I mean maybe there can be a "Tutorial Access" group, a group of people which the developers all agree that they have the knowledge to be able to post tutorials/howto's.
I agree that search is getting clogged, but there are ways to get around that. You can select "Search for all terms" or i'm not sure, but if you use quotes (",") it searches for only the phrase in the quotes, not each word.

Or why not just keep the tutoiral section, and people PM a dev/support/someone who has access the tutorial, then they can take the tutorial and post it in there.
