you have the
eqlsClient.ini downloaded, right?

is all in one line? if that's how it is, you need to move the host= down to the next line
[LoginServer]
Host=eqlplogin1.eqemulator.net:5995
also you could try making the eqhost.txt file read-only
if that doesn't work, take off the read-only attribute and change the eqhost.txt contents to
[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5995
and make it read-only again
