k gave up on the internet server but made a local one, opened up admin made my own sword but i type #search scalezz and it comes up as item number blah blaah it says this item doesnt exist wtf? i typed it as item number 9000 so i canaremebmer it but it came out like 256034 whatevre but still didnt give it to me wtf do i need to do to make a item? can someoen help me or give me a beter proggy?

I made my own staff using the admin tool.

What I did was went to the items tab and scrolled to the bottom, made an item with the number 1 higher from the last one
(i.e if last one is 27492 make 27493)

Then just make the stats what you would like and hit comming changes.

THe first time I went to do a search it did not work either, but if I typed in the number that I origionally gave it (ex. 27493) it worked fine.

Also keep in mind that certain functions of the admin tool (version 2.4) were broken with the release of EQEMu 0.3.1 and are still broken so you may not be able to get it to work right anyway.

And forget about trying to make any items with a combat "proc" (or proccess) because thus far (as far as I'm aware) no one has figured out how to do this yet.

Default Item Effect Activation Triggers...

I'm not sure what the trigger settings are if your simply editing an items.txt file, but the following is what I understand so far for how to set up triggers in the admin tool...


Triggers:

*none: no effect

*triggered: right click, unlimited charges

*triggered (worn): right click, item must be equiped

*triggered (expendable): right click, limited number of charges defined by the "Charges/number" parameter

*triggered (class check): I don't know what this one is or how it works

*tradeskill item: I don't know what this one is or how it works

*constant: effect is ALWAYS active when the item is possesed, whether it is worn or not



Now keep in mind I'm not totally sure that this is the way all of these things work, I'm still learning how to do this stuff myself, but the above is my present understanding.

Corrections are more than welcome... flames are not and will be ignored.

I have mine set to trig 2 through admintools and that made it right clickable (mmm right clickable ice comet
