flame_storm (and anybody else who has complained like him), show some freaking respect [insert everything that has been said] you dont contribute in any way to this project, and have no right to bitch about it. if your so unhappy, go setup your own server with your own software that you put hours into programming...and then you can say how much EQEmu: Developers Release 4 sucks... i may do nothing for this community but at least i dont bitch about software offered to me for free.. and you all shouldnt either

Wow so what its got a couple errors. What about everything they've fixed since they started... wait how about actualy takeing the time and actualy writing it all.

Its time to be greatful you can play withought paying or customize your server a little to make eq like you've always wanted.

EQemu is a hard project because at any time Sony can change any file you've got to download and then the devs are faced with another problem of finding out what changed they made withought actualy know what the source code is.

Yes we could not patch to live but if we dont patch to live no one else can play EQEmu and whats the point in that?

Second of all before you start flaming to all these developers how about you post one useful bit of information on this board or help one person fix a problem you've already found an answer to.

All i have to say is this guys a fucking dumb ass. Im shure some probably dont no what dr meens witch is Developer Releases . But alot of us no the problems well get fixed in time. So far they done great on dr4s considering there people puting money out of there own pockets or geting donations from some one. I meen u gotta now soe wants to break eqemu for good its one of there goals and that meens bugs well be a problem for eqemu. I no i would rather play servers with new stuff that gets put in by soe but its gonna take time and alot of problems to fix to get right but i trust the devs well get it runing good some time soon.
Oh if eqemu ran so good that bugs never broke eqemu u would think soe would try to do some thing to get rid

Wow, what to say to such strong hatred . I am no programmer and therefore I appriciate what has been done for us and givin so freely. I know what DR means and so I have decided to keep my server as 5.6 and keep working on that until a "virtually" bug free version has been released. Allow me to make this apparent to those that may have no clue (hint, topic starter) I play live and over the years have come to the realization that EQ LIVE will NEVER be bug free and if you do not believe then just go here http://eqforums.station.sony.com/eq/board?board.id=tech
So what these Devs have done with this is amazing to say the least. And to that end for those that are unhappy with getting stuff for free why dont you do the right thing and keep your mouth shut or lend a hand or a few dollars so they can continue the great work. Oh and what a great way to get attention you FUCKING CRY BABY !!

BTW i am contributing, im studying DR4, and i run the Packet sniffer on my Linux comp when i do play live, What have you done?

I kno that DR4 is shitty, like all DR4 server, cept Scorpius, that server seems to hold well together prety well.
