Default ***HowTo Make the New Login Screen Work***

Well after a while of finally having trouble with this thing, my friend and I figured it out. I'm not sure if you guys have fixed it or not...And being there was just an update patch.

Problems that i had were, Hit Login and Crash to Desktop, Hit Login and it freezes at Loading Please Wait and I get into server select and nothing shows up. Well those were my problems and here's how to fix it if you already haven't.

First off, Make 2 folders in My Documents, Everquest Important Files (Backup) and EQEMU Files.

Go into your Everquest Directory and copy your DataRate, Client, Host and EqMain.dll files to the Backup folder...Just so when you want to play live you have them.

Now inside the EQEMU files folder place the changed DataRate (8.0), Eqhost, Client and Old EqMain.

If you registered already then copy your EQHOST,DataRate,Eqmain and client into your EQEMU folder.

Now go into your Everquest directory and copy ONLY Eqhost, DataRate and the Old EqMain. NOT THE CLIENT!!!

Do not put in the client unless you did not register anything. If that still doesnt work, try the not doing the client and with your old username...That's what i did.

Go into your EMU eqhost in the Everquest Directory and delete all the spaces between the letters. There's usually about 2-3. Doesn't matter how much spaces really lol.

Once that is done, run EMU. If you are having troubles try it with both usernames.

That is what i did after all the problems i listed and it worked.

Hope it Works Guys. Good Luck. Tell me if it does

I'd edit your post because telling people you have that file and how to get it from you is warez and a bannable offense here. And that file is not a magic fix. It works for a few people that are having problems, but only like 5%, most will still crash after selecting a server. In order to actually be compatible you need all the old exes and dlls.

you guys really do make a big deal about this whole "warez" thing. when i played on world of warcraft emulated servers they gave me the files i need and nothing happened. let people make their own choice by giving away the old eqmain.dll file. if your not the one doing it why do you care?

the devs dont have to get sued because they dont have to give away certain files but if someone wants to help another person then thats their choice. it does nothing to the "devs".

They can be liable if they facilitate the distribution, for example, by allowing links to be posted on the board.

There is no WoW emulator yet. If there was I'm sure there would be a buzz on the web. Especially at sites like this one and other emulator sites like smithy's Anvil, etc...

There is a WoW Emu but no one talks about it here because this site is for EQ emu only. No one here cares about other Emus, go to a different site to talk about them. And use google.
