where do you go to edit this? I opened up winmysql and found start_zone but wasn't able to edit anything. So I went to command.com and tried to type the above to have all players start in bazaar, but it does nothing?

I know for alot of people a simple hint at a answer is enough, but for newbs who are allready intimidated by the hordes of features and touchyness of the emu and mysql, more detailed instructions would help.

You need a program like http://www.mysqlfront.de/ to edit the tables. It is completely self-explainitory how to use it once set up...you should refer to the mysql-front documents on how to use it.

I guess I must be really stupid then, I got the mysql front and still don't see where to add the line showed above. I see the folder start_zones and under it I see the option Start_zone. The only things I see to edit are:

Position
Type
Length
default
etc
etc
etc

Do I just put the zone number in here or what?

simple way to do it would be to go to a dos prompt.. cd \to\emu\dir then type world /? it will give you a list of things you can set.. one of them being the start point. you could also use mysql-front to edit it in varriables.startpoint

My recommendation is you need to go read up on MYSQL databases in general and tinker with this first. You lack the basic understanding of what it is and how it's used. You are jumping the gun trying to mess with eqemu until you at least have a clue about working with mysql databases.
