Default Bad username/password error.

If you are registering a Loginserver username using AOL, cable modem or another wierd ISP that messes up your IP then you might not be able to log in due to a bad user/password error.

If you get the bad username/password error when you try to log in for the first time, Have a friend or online buddy Re-Authenticate the account for you by clicking Re-auth on the account creation page, entering the username and password, clicking Submit and then logging in using the successfully fixed account (has to be done on the same computer that re-authed it.

(**NOTE: Please do not message me with account fixes anymore hehe. I can not handle anymore.)

1) You need to have a friend, who is not on AOL goto http://eqemu.org/login

2) Have your friend create a new account.
or
Have a friend enter your information and click the lil link at the top of that page that says "Reset Authentication"

3) Have your friend log into EQEmu with the account he just created within 15min.

After your friend logs in for the first time you should have no problems.

**edited to be correct**

The same person that creates or re-auths the account HAS to log in for the first time. this is how it is "authenticated"

The loginserver takes the login, password and your IP and encrypts it, then sends it to the loginserver database.

Default Solution for AOL/cable users

Anyone using AOL or a cable that doesnt allow you to authenticate the account doesnt need someone else to do it. Just use a proxy in Internet Explorer or wutever browser you have. www.spaceproxy.com worked nice for me,go there on info on howto setup the proxy if youdont already know howto.

-cheers
