Failure to login using DR1/DR2

alright, cleaned up some junk sitting around and set up a 0.5.9-DR2 Server.
Everything loads smoothly
Everything connects smothly
when logging in after a character create, i get these mysterious errors.
Using 0.5.9-DR1
World.exe error messages upon character selection/entering queynos2:

Recived unknown opcode: 0x02eb size:0 bytes
No start_zones entry in database, using defaults
Recived unknown opcode: 0x0376 size:0 bytes
Client disconnected
Removing client from ip:XXX.X.X.X port:1551

Using 0.5.9-DR2
World.exe error messages upon character selection/entering felwithea

No start_zones entry in database, using defauts
Telling client to continue session with:
Client disconnected
Client disconnected
Removing client from ip:XXX.X.X.X port:1055

It seems whenever I try to login i get a messagebox "Zone not availible."
and world.exe shows:

Attempting to autoboot "zoneshortname" ("zone#") for "charactername"
Recived unknown opcode: 0x02eb size:0 bytes

SIDE-NOTE: However, when i grant privileges for my mysqladmin user name and password i get

Query OK, 0 Rows Affected, 0.0sec

in the tutorial or guide by Wingnut it says "1 Rows?"
