To correct it, normally, all I do is reboot the system that EQEmu is running on and everything works normal.
After updating to the latest compiled release and getting the error about the rezzed field not being there, I started getting the black screen on login. I rebooted the system, and on the next login everything was fine.

Interesting.. I'll try that tonight just for the hell of it. I haven't rebooted that box in probably 3 weeks.
