no host?

hmm it seems to simple....i extracted that eqw2.2 into the eq directory, changed the eqhost file to :

[Registration Servers]
{
"eqlogin.eqemu.org:5999"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"eqlogin.eqemu.org:5999"
}

Then I used eqw to run it...a different type of screen came up then when i tried to just make a new account or enter a pw-word it said No host found, check if eqhost.txt exists......

and second...where do i sign up for the login name and pword..not to computer savvy

You can register at http://eqemu.net/login/
Just sign up for an account there and log in with that account and pass. Hope that helps =)

thnx shit name disappears in 15 min lol...

so anyone know what the problem is when i try and log on it says no host found. And a message comes up saying check if the file eqhost.txt exists...i checked and its ther with the information in my first message

if you don't make it on in that 15 mins youll have to go back to that link and click the refresh account button, after you've logged in once it will stay =)

Ya I created a login and pword but it wont work because everytime I push "Connect" I get a error message saying, "No host was found, check if the file EQHOST.TXT exists."

I checked and the file eqhost is there and I have put in the following in replace of what was there initiatlly:

"eqlogin.eqemu.org:5999"

But it still does not work. I can get to the login screen fine, I understand how to get a screen name and pword but It won't connect to the server, it just says no host can be found....anyone know what the problem is and can point me in the right direction?

All I want to do is connect to the server (eqemu server) and play...not create my own
