People on my lan error out help plz

It seems no on on my lan can join my server

Is there a way i can fix this?
i was trying to set it up so people on my lan could play as well as a 2 of my friends that live in another state

The other day i had it up with the minilogin but i would rather not use that

people outside my network seemed to connect fine
this is the box that is pluged directly into the cablemodem then on the sec nic it goes to my hub and to the other computers useing net shareing

Post your config files, and copy and paste after the first error. That way we can see the server start up, along witht he error.

Include your eqhost.txt file too.

Like i said i can set it up like that and have it lan only NP if i wanted to do that i would set it up on my good box and not my gateway

My question is has anyone been able to setup their server so people on their network can access the server as well as people from the net?

I just dont understand why people from the net can access my server but not people on my network it doesnt make sence to me

my server is on the selection screen no one outside my network has problems with it

This is on my box with a REAL ip addy
this is the box that all my systems go through to get to the net

I dont like to waste time i figuared i would ask the msg board and perhaps some one that had the same issue i was haveing and could help me fix it without me fucking around for 4 hours tell it worked.
Is it worth it for me to mess around and try to get it working?? or is it just bugged ?

The only time Ive been able to get it to work that way was with a patch Coder created for linux boxes, doubt it would work for win32 though. I think IP forwarding is about your only escape in this situation.

				Error 1017

		I had the same problem..
Messed around for hours and hours and even IP forwarding
doesn't help.
I gave it up cause i think there is no way to get it up and running that way..
And why do you want an EverQuest server if you can't login it yourself
Only thing you can do is running your Everquest program and the server on the same computer.. Then it works fine hehe
No option for me anyway but maybe it is for you lol

The problem can be fixed with the router (or a better one) the emu isn't liking connections from ip: 192.168.0.24 port:2300
The configs are set up to work with IPs from the internet.

Your local connection has to get routed throught the router and seem like it is comming from the internet. Work with the router settings.

184815 New client from ip: 192.168.0.24 port:2300
should list an internet IP (68.68.208.68 I am pretty sure)

sorry about being general, I only know enough to understand the basic idea of it.

This thread in the linux forum should apply to your problem. read it for some possible insights.
