A working eqhost.txt can be found at

http://www.eqemulator.net/eqhost.txt

right click and Save As to your eqemu folder.

I belive this might work...

1. Go to you host file
2. Type in this.............

[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5995

[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5995

(Yes, twice...works great for me...dont know how tho)

Then try to log on and see if it will work. The only down side is there is only a few servers that run off the latest patch...Have fun.

Well, putting it in twice helped somewhat. I was able to get to character select screen to make a toon. But when I try to log into world I crash to desktop.

Seem to be getting closer at least.

I was having the same problem, but all i had to do to fix it was download the eqlive eqhosts.txt and replace only the url. I'm not sure if there's some kind of special character that cant be seen in a text editor or what, but that worked for me.

So all you do is open the existing eqlive eqhosts.txt and replace the sony link with eqemulator.net:5995

Hope this helps some people out

Thank you, I am the inventor, I started EQEMu and I am a c++ master! ... ok maybe not really, but I agree with you buddy, this is a wonderful thing! SOE likes to fuck it up alot so put on your seatbelt, it's alot of work for the players as well as the developers, expecially the server operators.

I am starting to think that is the case. I am patched up to just before the June 2nd patch. Guess I will wait and find out. =\

Default I cant get past login

I can't get past login. I keep getting this

Error 1010: No Host Was Found
Check that the file EQHOST.TXT exists in
the EverQuest directory.

I've tried everything I can think of, and I'm really out of ideas. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

i have my eqhost read-only and

[LoginServer]
Host=eqlplogin1.eqemulator.net:5995

inside of it. i have patched all the way to today, 6/04. im unable to get onto most servers that are even [0.5.7-DR4]. i dont get crashed to desktop but back to login. i was able to login to one [0.5.7-DR4] server, make a char, and enter the world. but after a couple seconds the game froze and i received an error message asking me if i would send the zone, char information to developers.

edit:
everything seems to be working fine right now. i can connect to the dr4 servers normally

I fill out all of my information, email, number, username, password etc...but then it says that one is already in use...obviously...Must i create a new username and just keep the email...etc? cuz im not sure how to register this thing...kinda gettin me annoyed...
