Need more info..
Did it freeze when you pressed enter world?
Did it go into the loading Everquest logo screen?
How many servers have you tried?

As far as I know, expansions arent required, but are reccomended because sometimes you'll go to a zone that you dont have (Such as the planes of power)

Well first off this is a beta version there are issues. Second not all servers stay up to date with what the Devs send to CVS.

On a side note, we have been seeing a lot of, I Cant connect why? I sis everything right but it dont work why? me need help. Post exactly what you did to get connected. for example, I patched to live, then changed my eqhost here is a copy of it

[Registration Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemulator.net:5999"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemulator.net:5999"
}

i enter my name and password and this happens.
I choose a server and that happens.

We need every scrap of info you can possable give to find the answer, because there is a big chance you did somthing wrong, or the issue is on your end. I dont know how many people clame they did everything then it turns out they didnt patch fully or in some cases they changed there EQHost then patch so the host got switched back. If it is just the fact that the servers are messed up there is NOTHING you can do other then be patient and try again every once and a wile.

As i stated this is a beta version it is getting closer but is still a little ways from being done, add to that and the fact there are people who have no clue what there doing making servers( not all but there are some) so some of the servers are just messed up cause of that.

OK, well my friend and I have a similar problem. I believe its zone specific. On the Fish-Wolf server we cannot log into our characters in Crush Bone and Mist Moore Castle. We can see the characters, select them, then after the splash screen we are returned to the server select screen.

We can run other characters outside of those zones however.

There's your detail.

I just recently got everything up and running again to where I can get to character select. I am trying to play on Fish-Wolf again, but whenever I hit Enter World, it loads like it is going to play but boots me back to "connect" screen. That's what happens to me.

be patient would be the important thing to do. The Devs are working hard to get everything fixxed, but they do have lives and jobs / school. give them time.

yeah I figure they will get it fixed.

The good news is somehow when I first asked to zone mistmoore and was disconnected, my character gained 9 levels...and lived...kinda wish he died now.

Default maybe zone not availible

if a server doesn't have enough zone servers...could it be kicking me before I see my character for that reason? Or would it 100% of the time say "zone not availible"

Just curious if its because I'm in two unpopular zone (Mistmoore and Clan Crushbone) that maybe its related to their use. I know also that unpopular zones would be more bugged due to less debugg information.

Thanks
