Fish wolf

I am having great difficulty playing the new version of EQemu. I logged on today under my character on Fish-Wolf server where i have several characters to find that i cannot connect to the world. I can get to character select screen but when i try to connect to the world it wont let me, my EQ just freezes. I then figured that a zone might be down so i logged on and made another character in another zone and moved my character to another zone. This worked. I was able to log onto my character and play for a brief time before i tried to zone to another one and I crashed. Since that time i have not been able to log any of my characters onto everquestemu. I came on here looking for files I might have to download in order to play, but only found the ones for servers, is there anyone i need to download of anything i need to change in my everquest folder in order to play? I ended up uninstalling EQ and reinstalling it then patching it then re-installing Emu. Same process occured as i mentioned above. I was able to log onto character select screen but nothing past that. Any ideas?

Im having the same problem, i cant even get in with a new character. Tried multiple times with characters new and already made in qeynos, gfay, halas and chardok so i dont think its a zone being down thats the problem. All started happening when fish went to 5.2.

Have you tried several servers or just one? You need to start by figuring out if the problem is 5.2, a specific server (or servers) or your own client software.

sometimes server becomes unstable, and
zones tend to crash

but if this happens for more
than an hour, u might want to check if its you, the server,
or god...

Scorpious, i tried logging onto another server and all was fine. I tried logging onto my friends account on his computer and had the same problems as with the aforementioned ones on my cpu. I also tried to log onto my character from his computer but to no avail. Would this prove to be a server side problem? If not, any suggestions to fixing it on my side?

I would say that if you can get to other servers but the problem continues on the same server that you had trouble with before, its a server problem.

hmm sorry I have not responded to this post earlier. Does this happen
when you create a new character as well?

yes, if i made a new character, i could log that new character in, but i couldnt zone him or i would go LD. I would move my other character to another zone and try to log him in but go LD when logging into world. I was actually logged on last night but was lagging quite bad and when i tried to zone i went LD and couldnt log in to my character again.

I will check to be sure I have the latest zone points. I experience lag
in specific zones. Some zones seem much less laggy.

Alright, thanks so much. Do you have any idea why i cannot log my main character in, the one made before 5.2?
