Can log in, can enter game, but freezes

I can log into the game and enter an active game, but after i enter i wait about 5 seconds and it acts like i press alt-tab and the game freezes and i see two mouse icons (one was my eq one and one - the active one i can move for a little bit - is my windows icon. I cant alt-tab into the game or out of it and i cant press cntrl-alt-sel either. It just completely freezes.

Well, at first, you need to describe your trouble with more precision :
are you speaking of EQ / Eqemu ?
are you running your own server or not ?
what have you done to be able to play eqemu ?
have you patch recently, like for example... lets say after the 12/18?
etc etc...

im running eqemu
joining a server
all updates are done, regular instructions followed to be able ro play eqemu (tezt files changes - datarate, eqhost)

The fact that you say "all updates are done"... probably means you did patch live after 12/18/03 -- meaning your client is patched one version too far and you won't be able to play UNLESS you have a backup of EQ right before the 12/18 patch. If you dont then...

Once a public version is made available that works with the 12/18 patch AND server admins begin adopting this new version...you will be able to play again.
