Default I'll be around again!

I just got done moving out of my apartment, then into my parents' house, then to Ohio State University (fuckin' move-in day bullshit) in a period of two days. Aside from passing out for a total of 3 hours, I did it in a marathon 36-hour rain-plagued move-a-thon. OSU wouldn't let me move in until the day after I was supposed to move out of my previous place. Once I get my new motherboard for my computer, I should be around a lot. I have superfast college internet, and no job. On top of this, I'm away from my girlfriend, and am taking easy (for me anyway) classes so I can get more eqemu done. I will start working on the AC/damage equations more. I think I have an idea for how to use ATK and AC for damage distributions that are more fair than random. It's not at all mathematically difficult, and I'm kicking myself for not investigating it sooner. I just keep forgetting that Sony loves its truncation. Anyway, I'm off to buy books and study bugs.

Hey now! I'm taking easy courses because I'm required to do so before I can enter my major. I'm a junior who can't take junior classes due to requirements.

I'll be in and out until the computer parts arrive, mostly around midnight or whenever I drag myself to a lab to do my online course.

General education prerequisites are mindnumbingly annoying.. Thats why I ended up getting 3 degrees, after taking the 2 1/2 years of general req. junk, I could nail degree requirements in less than a year.. Heres my advice to you aG, don't stop until you at LEAST get your masters.. I'll trying to get back in for my PhD now, and trying to squeeze in classwork in with paying a mortage, managing a fulltime career, and a marriage can be a pain... I was ready to get out , but in retrospect I should have stuck it out for another 2 years..

Welcome back BTW !

Thanks for the advice. With the economy where it is, I might just do that. I just hope that dropping out of school and the planet once without withdrawing from school won't destroy my chances at getting into the business college here. My GPA aside from one run 20 semester hours of 0 is 3.85. With the bad semester, I'm fighting for a 3.0. It might not be enough, even with a killer past two years and a kickass SAT and ACT. My only hope is straight A's for a few quarters.

Yea the economy realy blows all over, in my area we have lost over 25,000 jobs in the last 6 months. Luckaly for me I have an understanding wife who is in the Army, so I am doing collage wile she brings home the bacon. I just hope when she reinlists we can end up in a better area ( biger city) then this 2 hourse town.

Grats on the move to OSU. I fully expect to see you as the naked guy running across the field in the middle of their title football game next year.

What will your major be?

I'm prebusiness until my stupid gen-ed qualifiers are done. It's about 2 quarters before I pick a full major. I'm thinking finance or operations. OSU may have an entrepreneurial major by the time I'm forced to choose. That would rock my socks.

Actually, I'm the old guy (yeah, at 22) helping to corrupt the willing minors. At least I don't live in the infamous two towers here. They go by Sodom and Gammorah (or Morrill and Lincoln if you read the signs above the doors). I do live on campus though, to lower my expenses. I don't mind living in a hut on a high floor, half a mile from my classes, as long as I don't have to drive my expensive busted to crap car. And loans pay for housing here.

I've never been a fan of the OSU sports. I just like the campus and the programs. It's just a coincidence that they're really good at football.
