Default EQEmu Error: bad username/password

Checked my eqhost.txt and it's correct. And I'm using a newly created loggin since the other one was getting this error. I can post, but can't log in. And no, my caps lock key is not on Thanks for any help.

Check your shortcut to eqgame.exe... Make sure that you didn't make a shortcut to everquest.exe. That may help.. Are you having to change your eqhost when you try to log in or is it keeping the changes that you put in it?

No, I followed the instructions explicitly, created a desktop shortcut to eqgame.exe and added a space and patchme under properties. I was able to log into the game with my original loggin two days ago but yesterday that account had disappeared. Right now I can log into the forums and post using this account, but I can't log into EQEmu with it.

I tried one last thing... instead of going to the "forgot my password" screen and attempting to let the forums email me a new password, I went into profile and changed my password manually. I can still log in and post, but can't log into the game server. Still getting EQEmu error: bad user name/password.

It sounds like your account got screwey when you changed your password, this needs to be checked out by a Dev who has access to the login server.

I have recently made an account and I can't login for some reason as well.. I followed the directions to a "T" and it keeps telling me that my username and password are incorrect. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The actual message is "Error 0016: The Station Name and Password you have entered is incorrect." and so on... hope this helps. (edit)

That is a SOE error you are connecting to live NOT our login server.

for some people the patchme shortcut dosnt work, use EQW instead.
