Client crashes

I am runing my own Minilogin server and when i try to create a character after i put stats in i hit next and it either freezes, or comes up with the client crash error. anyone know whats going on here?

Same here, except I'm not running my own server.

I've seen a few people with this problem, and have yet to see a difinitive answer for it.

Wait for 5.5. Should fix a lot of issues.

I would wait for 5.5 but it just started doing it today, everything worked fine...But now when i get to the make a character screen it screws up (PS I haven't tried logging on servers where i had characters already)

Which server verion screws up, 5.3 or 5.5?

Also, did you say you were patched to GoD?

5.3 screws me up and im pretty sure 5.5 does to...Yes i did patch GoD but i had the old eqgame.exe so it worked...until now...

For 5.5 servers you need the new eqgame.exe, just patch fully to GoD and play on 5.5 test server til 5.5 source is released.
