The old one should be fine, and the rest will download online for you. For what I know I got it up to PoP but the rest you can download it along with the patches.

Try reading the tutorials and howtos to find out how to play.. If you are JUST trying to play you will not need to download anything, but if you are trying to run your own server you will hvae to download the eqemu... If you are not patched up to but not including the 10th you will not be able to play anyhow exept on Shawn319's server....

Yes, you can set up your own server, on your computer, and your client (read the game), will connect to YOUR server on your own machine, if you choose, or you can create a server, that people on EqEmu community can play on it. You can also (if you dont want to set up your own server), simply make a couple of changes, and play on the servers here in the EqEmu community. There are some very good ones out there... There are at least 5 or 6 that are always up.. Look at the server comments forum to get a pretty good list of some of the bigger ones up and running.. Most of THOSE have full content, quests, and items... Most, also are different than eqlive, to make the game fresh and fun again.. G'luck and have fun. If you have any errors when trying to play or set up your server see this url, as it has most common errors (pretty good guide too) written by ... erm ... ME <smile> http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12827

Yes, because these servers have absolutely nothing to do with Sony at all in any way, shape or form you could ever possibly imagine.

ok last question

i followed http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9649 but now its saying error 1017: cannot log into the everquest server you may need to re run the update patch . repeatedly seeing this message indicates a loss of connectivity to the patch server. this is usually temporary ; and said something about eqmain.dll
i read the forums and you all say it has to do with updating.im updated perfectly and got no firewall

what do i do to fix this problem
does this explain it ? http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1651 cuz i have no idea what its saying lol

If you are trying to run your own servrer, your client has to be patched up to a certain point it time to play on eqemu, but if your only trying to play there is at least ONE server that has been fixed to run with the newest patch (as of the 10th).. It will be labeled 0.5.5 anything besides that will NOT run your eq client until the dev's fix it.. (and dont ask when that will be or youll make Montezz right in his predictions) <you know what I mean Montezz> haha

That's your problem. You've updated, you weren't supposed to.

Simple, if you update your EQ Live you will have problems runing 5.3-DR2 or 5.3-DR3 any how you can play on the test server Shawn319 Test Server 0.5.5-DR1 that is compatible with GoD. Of course that is if you are just trying to play and not run your own server.

If you are trying to run your own server that, you better pray that you have a eqgame.exe amd ui dir folder of your Everquest Live backed up so you can then fix that and run the 0.5.3. As I said if your lucky and had backed that up before Feb 10th Patch.
