Default want to set up

I am wondering what the minimal requirements for me to set up a 5.5 server are. I have a spare comp and want to try my hand at it.

rule of thumb is if you can play eq on it, without it almost dieing, you can run a server.

Read the guides on how to set up your own server. It tells you step by step how to do it and what software you will need to do so, and how to install MySQL and so on...

Oh yeah, I am running a local server on my laptop and it is way below that in the RAM and video card area. Should do great.
