Default mysql not working

not sure if this is right forum

Im running windows XP, trying to set up minilogin and MYSQL will not work for me=( I have no idea why, After I instal it then click icon for it nothing happens. I read some of manaul for it and didnt see anything aobut it. Download the 4.0 and 3.18 ( i thik thats the number) both from the guide in win32. neither of em work. Anyone no why or if im doing something wrong or a possible fix?

Are you following this guide ?

http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13403

If so, which step do you get to, and do you get an error message ?

You misunderstood me. I download mysql and it doesnt work. I mean like it doesnt run at all after i instal it. Yes i used that guide and the 5.X guide download from both links to see if it was just version and none of em worked. Could it be cause of my router or sumthin. I click icon and nothing happens
