If i am playing, and i happen to die, it says you have fallen unconscious, and just sits there. no gm commands work, even relogging dosent work. this has happend every time i die.

i am running the latest ver of the emulator on a fast server. any ideas?

I get this sometimes too. /q to get out of the game and relog in. Unless you are stuck underwater with no air or in some death loop this should allow you to at least log back in and play again.

If just relogging in immediately doesn't fix the problem, try waiting 30 seconds before you log back in. I ran into this once and when I relogged I was still unconcious (OK, so I had low life and was already falling off Kelethin :P). The next time I tried waiting a bit before relogging and I was fine when I logged back in (if a level lower, dang exp penalty! :evil.

ohh ok!. I used to play the "real" servers and when you die, you go back to your bind point and then have to go find your corpse.. not so with the emu?

Thanks much for the help. I will try waiting.

Dying underwater is a definate drag. There is usually no way out of that death loop. You can edit where your char is in the database and move him to another zone. I have not tried this personally, but I dont see why it wouldnt work.

Another note. I have died many times in eqemu so I know it works. You do return to your bind point. In my experience sometimes when you get knocked unconsious it seems that there is a chance you will get caught in that death loop.

yep! I was happy to see it work finally. I seem to get caught in the unconcious loop alot tho. hope that can be fixed. Also when you die, you dont loose your items and leave behind a corpse. Cant say as i really MISS that "feature" though LOL. Great EMU guys; sorry to be such a n00b.

Update (!). Dying underwater has a fix! Get a "rebreather" Item ID 16889. Equip it. it also lets you use the cool underwater zone changes! It will forward you to the next zone and you will come thru unscathed! You could still get killed by a monster underwater i suppose, and the "knocked unconcious" thing still exists (GRR!) I havent found a fix for this yet. but give me time (lol)

today I got killed in The Great Divide on a server...
client or something crashed, dont really know what happened...

when I got in again, relogged, I was in Kithicor Forest
falling under the zone... just falling, falling and so...

I zoned away to freeport and could continue play...

it feels pretty strange that problem
