Default World Never loads

Hey.

I just started using this server today. This morning I installed EQ through Luclin. I connected to the server, trying to log into 5.7-DR2 (Legit/LIVE) Guild Wars EmuEQ. I logged in, made a character. Clicked enter world and the game just closes and i'm back at the server selection screen. Does anyone know whats happening? I also have EQwindows installed, would that be a problem? Thanks!

This morning I had to patch from Everquest patch site to the newest version in order to get the game to run at all. Is that what you mean, or did you mean to patch something else?

No, click on EVERQUEST.EXE file. Then it will load some stuff, then click DOWNLOAD to begin patching. Everquest just came out with a patch today, so be sure your up to date.

Then it lets me press Play. Thats how its been all day though

NEVER EVER patch the Everquest.exe in your 2ND everquest folder (1 folder is for Live (normal eq), and other folder is for eqemu).
Atleast that is how you should be running it.
After you did that, and have all files needed in eqemuolfder, don't ever ever patch with your everquest.exe in that folder UNLESS told to in this forum for some reason.
The reason we can't play eqemu now is because we patched up to date.
So the eqemu everquest folder has to be 1 patch behind atleast to be able to play, if you patch up to date, you get this crap that you can't play untill the dev's fix this patch update again.
So never ever update anything unless told here.
If you do anyway, expect to have some kind of problem each time there has been a patch.
Last thing I have been told, if you DO patch, don't forget to adjust your eqhost.txt again, cause sony will overwrite that when patching.

Forgive me for my n00bness, but I was trying to login tonight for the first time and have encountered this error myself. Will the devs post when they have updated the code to the current patch in the News section? If so how long does that usually take?
Thank you!

I don't really play on a EQ server anymore, tarrewmarr like 2 years ago. I literaly just installed this morning and was following the directions that said connect to a eq server and patch to the current version, then switch your eqhost file to and ya di da. So It really couldn't be avoided with me. I either had the error that wouldn't let EQ load becuase it was a 2 year old version from a disk. Or this error. Haha.

Default same problem here

Ya, i had the same problem. I just installed EQemu today and hadnt played regular Eq for a while so i was forced to update, to another patch that isnt compatible. I have read a bunch of posts all over the site and all i can say is that we will probly have to wait till the dev's come out with a fix for the current patch.

I just installed EQ, again, and used the patcher to get all the expansion's files...if some one could list what files were patched today, i, and others, could play around with those files and be able to play EQemu again.
