Default WHY NOT?

Ive noticed a HUGE lack of enchanters on the emulators. Yeah, some people actually 'try' to play them. When I left EQlive, I was a 65 elemental raiding enchanter in a very powerful guild.

I come to the emulators and Im disgusted at how the enchanters are forced to deal with the same crap they did on the live servers. Someone actually tried to lecture 'ME' on the why of the enchanter not being tinkered with on an emulator. Sad thing was, not a single player on his emulator played an enchanter. I tried, it was pointless. I made an SK and did what every other player on that emu was doing, just solo with a melee.

There is one simple way to make enchanters a LOT MORE fun on an emulator. First, let me point out, if you have never been a 65 enchanter on EQlive, or even a 60+, then you dont have any right to dispute what I say.

I was damn good at being an enchanter, so good, I could duo with a druid in the Plane of Tactics, easy! I was a master at charms.

Charms, CHARMS, that is what makes the enchanter really fun. Not the 9 to 5 mez job!

Someone! SOMEWHERE! Get a clue and alter the charm spells to make the enchanter on an emulator fun to play. Make the charm spells actually do what they say and charm for a fixed duration over 14 minutes. 14 minutes is a fun killer, especially when the mob you have charmed 'summons'.

SOMEONE, give enchanters a reason to be played on the emulators. Enchanters are NOT easy to lvl up. Give them the ability to have a functional pet! Animations are trash.

Ive pleaded with countless server admins and every single one of them say the same crap, "That would outbalance the enchanter."

No it wouldnt! All it would do is open the door for some enchanters to actually have some worry free fun like all the other professions. Its only done like that in live because in live they want the enchanter to be 'group' dependant.

Myself, as well as many others come to the emulators to get away from the EQlive crap and group forcing. So, I plead with you, someone out there, make your emulator actually cator to the enchanters some. There is so much joy in charming something and it would be a LOT of fun if we could actually rely on our charm spells instead of them having an extremely short duration with a constant breaking of the spell.

Go ahead, dispute me, Im sure there are a bunch of people who will. All I want is a chance to enjoy the enchanter on an emulator. Not get lectured about the why an enchanter is balanced on the EQlive servers. I know it! I got sick of all the players who had never earned their way as a 65 enchanter from lvl 1 telling me how much better they thought I had it.

Im hoping just at least ONE emulator host will see the joy this small alteration of a line of spells could make. Imagine, a guild war, where the enchanters actually show up with charmed pets they can actually rely on! Enchanters commanding powerful pets on the battle field. The least some of you could do is test it out before you dump the whole idea.

Give people a reason to 'enjoy' playing an enchanter on an emulator, not just another excuse why enchanters are useless and no fun on an emulator.
