when i click on "shortcut to eqgame" : eqgame.exe

when i click on "shortcut to eqgame" something pops up, says the folowing :: eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorry for the inconvenience??? anyone help me please? been trying to get this workin for 14 hours, have ran the live patch have system restores my PC, re-downloaded EQ 4+ times....dont know what else to do...quite frustrating...please help if you have any information, thanx

Make sure your shortcut says the following

"C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest\eqgame.exe" patchme"

the quotes are important so add them.

just a note, your eq directory might be different than mine.

when i put :"C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest\eqgame.exe" patchme" in...it says 'C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest\eqgame.exe' specified in the start box is not valid. Make sure that the folder exists and that the path is correct

oops got quote happy there, try without the quote after patchme.


"C:\program files\sony\everquest\eqgame.exe" patchme

and double check the location of your eqgame.exe to make sure it is infact ..\program files\sony\everquest\eqgame.exe

I have all my files in a "everquest trilogy" file will this effect anything? i have have a plain "everquest" folder
