Server Commentary (max of 100 words)
:

Shards of Norrath is a Custom/Legit/Roleplaying server. The concept of the server is that in Norrath a spell went awry, and caused a duplicate of Norrath to be created. People and beings were thrown into this new world. This world is not as stable as the original Norrath. And it is not as populated as the original Norrath. The people thrown together, organized themselves into 3 separate factions: The High Guard, led by Lord Sovreign Aiden, whose goal is to settle and conquer these new lands. The Army of the Pantheon, led by General Tarzok, seeks also to conquer these lands, but also to bring the Pantheon in this world. Ordo Draconis seeks to find a way to return to Norrath.

The features of this server is a custom database, original content, roleplaying, and unique progression throughout the levels.

Server Status:

The server is currently in Development stage. The staff are:

What I intended to say, is that the level system will remain in place, and killing A_random_mob01 so and so will still be necesities, but there will be other ways, specifically dynamic quests developed by GM's specifically for that character will help progress the storyline, the character's rank in the faction he belongs to. This will happen every 20 levels or so, and I believe I am planning to cap the levels at 100

Very, very cool stuff. imo quests should be a nice alternative to grinding xp...looking forward to seeing how your idea progresses.
