Default Character Name Rejection

Using local host and my own server, I'm unable to find a valid character name (IE every single one gets rejected)

On the other servers, I can create characters just fine, with any name.

Any idea why this happens? Haven't seen anything posted on faulty character creation =/

Yeah, tried about 50 different names, including using the name generator, nothing is being accepted.

The emu is rather liberal in allowing names. I can only guess you have somethig messed up or not connecting... Check your world and minilogin screens for errors.

I connected via MiniLogin.

Here's what screen said.

[LoginConfig] block not found in LoginServer.ini
ServerMode: standalone
Login Server listening on port:5999

not sure if the block not found thing is normal though.

I've set it up the other way, making servers online and get the same problem, can't make any characters, doesn't seem to be a connection error, it just doesn't want to accept any names for some reason.

Here's what world.exe said about the char creation.

HERE account_id=1 order by name` #1016: Can't open file: 'character_.MYD'. (errno: 145)
Unknown opcode: 0x3521 size:2056
Unknown opcode: 0x3521 size:2056
Unknown opcode: 0x3521 size:4
0000: B0 4B C6 D6 | .K..
Name approval request for: 'Moonkid' race: 6 class: 5
DB Query Error
Error #1016: Can't open file: 'character_.MYD'. (errno: 145)
Error in ReserveName query 'INSERT into character_ SET account_id=1, name ='Moonkid', profile=NULL' #1016: Can't open file: 'character_.MYD'. (errno: 145)

Should I try reloading the database or anything? Not sure what's causing this.

Looks like you have a bad database. try dropping, and re-sourcing the default one (you will loose any progress up untill now).

If it works then the problem was the database you used and should contact the maker.

same problem, tried with default database, i'm unable to create a char.

maybe it's a database problem, cause i got an error from world.exe saying : unknown column 'timelaston' in 'field list''

I have the database db.sql from the cvs.

Config : win xp, sql server like in the howto, only thing different : i did not compile the sources of the server, i took binaries.
