Default I Cant get Shortcut working

Ok heres the deal if anyone out there can help me that would be great.. I have the shortcut like the guide told me to but when i hit ok it says that paths not correct so i put a space after exe" patchme so it looks like that.. and patcher does not come up and when i try to login it says time out

Post your shortcut here, e.g, this is mine

Code:
C:\eqoct\eqgame.exe patchme
If you have a space in the path to eqgame.exe, you need to enclose it in quotation marks, e.g.

Code:
"C:\eq oct\eqgame.exe" patchme

ok i solved the problem ...
i had a space in the first line of eqhost.txt
so, i deleted it ...

Or you can use the DOS name.

Example: C:\Program Files\ == C:\Progra~1\
