Cant create character or enter world, please help.

When I join a server and go to create a new character, I get to the city where I start from and then when I click 'ok', I get the "You have been disconnected" message. Also if I just try to enter world w/ a charcter '>e', I also get the same message. I have read the othe forum about this, but it does not help me. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

EQemu does not work with the latest patch (yesterdays patch).

dont ask, give out, or host EQ patch files.

ok, i tried my account name and password and it wouldnt work, i got bad username/password on the screen, i reauthenticated and got the same problem. then i tried the eqemu scrn name and password and still got the same problem, are these problems due to the new emu coming out to deal with the weds. patch?

"You have been disconnected": Usually i got this msg when I try to connect to localhost with my old server with my old 8mb graphic card. The mainboard had only 250mb/sec datatransfer. At about, it's the transfer rate of an older 440BX or a newer PLE/KLE chipset.
Although I could connect to some outdoor zones or towns, in dungeons like GUK i had lag continuous disconnections, due to the lag (or the poor datatransfer) :p .

"username/password error": hmm, the error is self explaining I think. Use minilogin and connect with std eqemu/eqemu.

If you can make a char, but you can't enter the world: do you have the supported DIRECTX version installed (actually, 8.1)? Do you meet the minimum requirements for Everquest? 64 MB aren't enough anymore, you need at least 128 MB RAM!

the username/password error will be fixed with the next release because we are moving to a e-mail verification system. at that time all accounts will be wiped and all servers will need to do a database wipe.

hehe love that wiping thing lol , I needed to do it on mine server but cant resolve to do it , now I do it ! database 'eq' successfully dropped

Just curious when the next patch is coming out... Hehe, very antsy... Just spent 2k on a Dedicated server and I wanna get it running.

the char select and world enter problem IS fixed, but there are still some other bugs left to be nabbed before we can release.

you can try out the new version by logging into a server with [0.3.2-NewPatch] next to its name (Lyenu's Playground is probably the best server to try).
