I just installed EQ

I've just installed Eq looking to get back into after half a year.
Now, i realized that winters roar is gone (again), and that other one that hey, dawntide, is gone too;..
what is there now?
and i just have a fresh copy of EQ installed, but like it says: DO NOT PATCH ON 9/13 OR LATER.
What do i do now?
