Linux world and MiniLogin

Hey, have an issue and was wondering if anyone has hit this before. I have vmware running with a linux install in it. I'm running world and zone and the db in linux. I've tried running MiniLogin via wine in the linux install, but my client just sits while trying to connect to the login server. I see 'new client from [myip]' but it hangs. If i run MiniLogin in my win64 box, the world server bounces off and on the login server, but never actually shows up [but i can log in].

Any ideas? All of my other networking services work 100%. I also set this up the same way except instead of a vmware install it was a linux box up at work and I vpn in. I had the same hang while logging into the LS that was running via wine.

well i managed to get logged into the minilogin running in my vmware install. now of course my server doesnt show... will keep trying =P
edit #2:getting 'bad server name. unknown reason' hrm....
edit #3:ahh... need a longer longname.
