Default How "Live" is EQEmu?

Hey guys, I have a quick question.

I understand that most of the content now on the Live servers isn't implemented on EQEmu. I believe that everything up to SoL seems to be enabled in the emulator and DB's. Does that mean that EQEmu emulates EVERYTHING up to SoL? The reason I ask is this:

I stopped playing EQ shortly after Kunark came out, and I've always been interested in going back to it. If I picked up the Titanium edition and ran a Minilogin server for my girlfriend and I, would it be comparable to playing the original EQ with Kunark and Scars of Velious expansions? or are there still gaps in these as well?

Also, are the graphics updated according to the Expansions, or are we talking EQLive era graphics where everyone around has the same five faces pasted on to an awkward hexagon?

I appreciate the info, Thanks!

Gib

Hello and welcome to EQEMu!

Yes, I use Cavedudes database to set mine up and a lot of zones are spawned. Including Veilious, Kunark, and even the later zones like Luclin and PoP. The PEQ data base is good all the way to luclin I believe. Now there are some things that don't work yet like Tasks, new player armor quests, potion belts, and the such like on live, but overall you can get in and explore a lot of the world and hunt, camp, and have fun normally. Kind of like pre-LDoN eq was.

Just remember it ain't a carbon copy of live, and it has some quirks (like some keyed zones like Sebilis where you have to enter by using the #Zone command.) It is though, a work in progress, and things get better as updates become live and people give the databases some love.

But I play it with my friend too, and it is enough to get our EQ fix.

(Although, it was a ton of fun to have a couple of my starting characters start out with thier epic 1.0's. And, the #scribespells <your level> command is priceless. - haha)

but if you have any specific questions feel free to ask, I have visited all the Cavedude zones (yes, I went through the whole list in the game to test them- haha) when I first set the Emu up so I kinda know what places work and what don't.
