Default No zoneserver available to boot up.

I need some assistance when upgrading the EQEmu server. I'm trying to use the latest release (as posted on the downloads page from 12/04) of EQMU and I'm having difficulties with getting connected to a zone.

I may be going about this the wrong way, but let me explain what I've done:

1) I installed EQEmu ServerPack 3.52 with PEQ and Cavedude's database (I'm currently using PEQ)

2) everything runs fine, I can connect fine thorugh the client. Note: I use the provided start.bat to run the EQEmu server.

3) I downloaded the latest release from the downloads page and replaced the files: eqlaunch.exe, world.exe, zone.exe, opcodes.conf, patch_6.2.conf, Patch_live.conf.

4) I run the start.bat file and world.exe runs. The odd thing is that from the debug messages, it's appearing to run the zones:

"[debug] [WORLD_LAUNCH] zones: dynamic_01 state STARTED (1 starts)"

but after about 10 seconds, the zone stops then starts again and I'm not seeing another window for teh zone server:

"[debug] [WORLD_LAUNCH] zones: dynamic_01 state STOPPED (1 starts)"
"[debug] [WORLD_LAUNCH] zones: dynamic_01 state STARTED (2 starts)"

I can connect to the world server through the eqclient, but I always get a zone unavailable message when I try to enter the world. I'm thinking that I've done something wrong or skipped steps when trying to use the latest
EQEmu server.

You must also replace "EMuShareMem.dll"
The reason you are have a issue is because the required mySQL statements have not been run.
Open up "changelog.txt" and look for the date around 4/17/2006 and starting from that point,
going to the top you must take each mySQL statement and run them.
There are many statements that need to be run. To run them you could make a file.sql and then source the entire file or you can do them one by one in the console.
Remember the order oldest to newest is important.

I did see that cavedude released a newer installer that may be easyer and near the latest code release.

I know its a old post but im getting the exact same problem, over the last 24 hours i've been tring to setup my first server. I can also login to my server but at char select screen it cant load the tutorial zone. I'm also getting the start stop on world launcher. I used todays peqbeta DB but im unsure if i need to find a zone.sql or something. Please help if you can.

Aditional info. when tring to enter world the server is saying no zoneserver available to boot up on the dos world.exe screen.

you are not having the same issue just looks like it. If when booting your server the get multiple zone start/stops I assume you followed the guide and loaded the database from peqbeta_2013-xx-xx-xxx.tar.gz?

If thats the case this is what you have to do
unzip the PEQBETA file to a work folder
When you start to build your database you will
source in peqbeta_2013-11-08-02_01.sql (or whatever build you have)
source in source_views.sql
source in user_tables_2013-11-08-02_01.sql

Then goto your C:\EQ\source\utils\sql\git\required
source in 2013_11_07_BaseData.sql (orwhatever is cueernt for you)
Source in the rest of the XXXX.sql in that folder
