Default ip address

where on my comp do i find my ip address, does it change everytime i log on?

try ipconfig at a dos prompt if your on windows

cool man thx, will that always be the ip address everytime i log on, or will it change?

Depends on your setup. If you have dialup, or cable/dsl without a router then yea it will most likely change everytime you reboot. Everytime you dial out for dialup connections. If you have a router, you will probably not see the IP change. But with a router that isn't the IP you need to use to allow people on the internet to play on your computer, the right IP will be listed in the router configuration screens somewhere.

Default Dynamic IP

If you are going to host a server you might try a set up from a websight called no-ip its mainly for making a webserver when you have a dynamic ip address but ive been using it sence the last upgrade and havent had that many problems.
