Default Play Angelox's Classic Server

I came to eqemu for the reason I thought so many would have -- to play eq in it's original and best(imo) form.

Yet I see no one on the classic server. Please, join me!

Eq classic for me was the most intriguing mmo ive played.

Carefull playing 'easy' since it sometimes overdoes it and you get bored =P.

This server is just what I was looking for. Thank you very much Angelox! I remember back when you said you were creating a classic style database and I just couldn't wait (missed the boat I guess!).

Also, I don't see any reason why this couldn't be the server of choice for people wanting old-school PvP, maybe if you coded in single item loot for anyone flagged for PvP it would draw a lot of people. And it wouldn't affect anyone who decides to stay blue.

Anyway, I hope to see some people on next week!

If item looting is implemented and the population increases, I'll join as well.

we should spread the word? it won't populate on its own.

the number of people last summer flaming Sony for failing to produce a Classic PvP server was substantial, more than enough for a healthy emu server.

question is how to get the word out without Sony breathing down anyone's neck.

I'm sorry man, but that's one thing I could neverget into : PvP. I think it's because I'm a sore looser (hate to get whipped by someone else)

Me too, but I still like PvP. The best part about PvE is that mobs dont level up so that one that just owned you will get its just reward in a few levels. Players on the other hand just hand you a$$ back to you no matter how you try.

I play on GW and PvP is kind of a given on it. I have had some bouts that I have been sucessful, but most of them are just pathetic. No matter how hard I try, I still get smacked in the face and called a Noob, *sniff, Im going off to hang me lame self now!!

I keep a server mostly for trying out things, probably the best would be to Play on Legacy of the Rathe server which works off commercial bandwidth , I maintain that one, together with Leara and is intended for gameplay with large populations- it uses my ax_classic DB.
I don't make certain changes to please individuals. I do have a game to offer that hopefully is a bit challenging and might be of interest.
If you are looking for a large population, then you might want to try PEQ or one of the others.
My whole goal here was to improve the database , then offer it to everyone else so I might get others into this "public work" mind of thought. The database has always been my main interest and not the server.
If I were to add things like #commands , fast exp, or anything else that simplifies the game, then I would feel like I'm wasting my time with all the work put into zone content.
