Default Zoneserver not connecting

Ive searched the forums and none of the threads seem to have anything that fixes the problem. Anyway, the emu isnt connecting to the zoneserver. Here is my config file:

<?xml version="1.0">
<server>
<world>
<shortname>Oasis</shortname>
<longname>Oasis Revisited</longname>

<!-- Only specify these two if you really think you need to. -->
<address>10.1.1.51</address>
<localaddress>127.0.0.1</localaddress>

<!--Loginserver information. -->
<loginserver>
<host>eqemulator.net</host>
<port>5998</port>
<account></account>
<password></password>
</loginserver>

<!-- Sets the shared key used by zone/launcher to connect to world -->
<key>some long random string</key>

<!-- Enable and set the port for the HTTP service. -->
<http port="9080" enabled="true" mimefile="mime.types" />
</world>

<!-- Database configuration, replaces db.ini. -->
<database>
<host>localhost</host>
<port>3306</port>
<username>root</username>
<password>bloody</password>
<db>peq</db>
</database>
</server>

Here is where the server is starting up:

Here is what happens when I use "zone" in the start.bat file:

And here is what happens when I use "zones" in the start.bat file:

Im able to log onto the server but not get past the character select screen. Both of the last two screenshots shows where im trying to log the character in and the zoneserver not connecting

If anyone see's something thats wrong, or need more information, please let me know. Thank you.

p.s. I have shut off windows firewall and I dont have an anti-virus installed.

Ok, im at the end of my rope. I dont know what else to do.

What I have spent my weekend doing, multiple times:
*Searched the forums for zoneserver
*Played around with the few solutions found in the zoneserver search, even if they didnt exactly match my problem
*Switched from peq database to ax_classic database
*searched around in the mysql under all the zone tables and account tables, hoping that I would at the very least tweak the right thing that would solve the problem.
*re-installed eqemu at least 5 times, following techguys guide step by step, no change in results.
*checked, rechecked, and then checked again the eqemu_config files.

Here is what I would like, if someone finds it in their heart to help out. I need to see what the config fileS (there are 2 in my eqemu folder) look like from a server that is up and running and fine. A screenshot of what is in a working eqemu folder, and a screenshot of what the settings are supposed to look like for the account and zone tables from a working mysql database. I dont know if this is alot to ask or not, but im flying blind and wouldnt recognize the right settings if I do get it right at some point.

Thank you.

Run this:

Code:
INSERT INTO `launcher` (`name`) VALUES ('zone');
Your launcher is not identifying itself. So, we insert this entry so world knows the name of it from the SQL table.

Common mistake, I did it myself a few times.

Im not at home now, but I think you would need to change the word "zone" to "zones", for batch start up ax_classic db. any way make sure it says the same thing in the launcher table as the batch file does.

Ok, finally got it fixed and going good by creating a batch file that loads like 5 zones. I was browsing around the forums last night and found, in a totally unrelated search (search wouldnt have found it, I cant even find it again) to my problem, the way to create the right batch file. Thanks for the suggestions.

That's the old way of doing it, you should try and get the launcher working.

I had this exact problem word for word and could not for the life of me figure out why it was happening.

I double checked the zone server name against the start file. It matched & the server still wouldn't start.

I finally got it working by keeping everything exactly as is (config files & SQL) but used version .992 of the EMU (I still had this on my system from a while back) and it started up first time ... not so much a fix as a workaround I'm afraid.
