Finding my *real* IP Address?

Hi, I'm using a Cable modem that is split through a router to both my roommates computer and mine. When I type IPConfig in the command prompt it lists my IP as 192.168.X.X which is the IP that my computer recieved from the router. How do I determine the actual IP address that was sent by my ISP?

I typed IPConfig /all and got the following information (certain stuff edited out):

Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes
Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.X.X
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.X.X
DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.X.X
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 204.X.X.X
63.X.X.X

Are either of those last IP's my actual IP or are they simply the IP address of the DNS servers at my ISP? Thanks

Well i will tell you that if you do find your read IP address, with 99% certanty you will have trouble because of the router.

your best bet is to unplug it and connect directly to the internet.


The forum is telling me your IP address is 12.231.**.***
