Hiya all, got some time to play, will be updating later today. When I grabbed 2.1 I either got a crash to the desktop or the instruction error that others got. After dropping and recreating the database, I was able to get to create characters and THEN it dropped me unceremoniously to the desktop or dropped back to login with the please patch again message.
NOW, today I recreated the db again (note that may not matter for completeness: was using db name eq021, today used simply eq)., granted full permissions on it, started it all up and created a character. First character refused to log in and still does. ALL subsequent characters created (4 at this point) work peachy.
