Default I dont think people can join my server. HELP

Ok so, i can join my server. Its a public server named "I am the walrus".
Its up and running. I can join it. But whenever my friend tries to join it. His screen goes black like its going to load or it minimizes to his top right corner of the screen. And then goes back to the login asking him to login again.

Ive search the forums up and down for help with this problem. But I have yet to find any.

If you wouldnt mind and trying to join my server to see if it does it to you then please try. And throw me some feedback on what you think the problem is. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks ahead of time,
Fear

I tried to join and it bounced me. Are you behind a firewall? If you are you may need to forward the necessary ports.

not trying to necro an old thread, but I am currently having this issue. My server was running fine for a while, though no one played it so I started doing very basic edits on same server (new npc's/items/spells) and now no one can load in besides me. I have all the necessary ports forwarded. I dont think i changed my eqemu_config, but just incase here it is
Code:
<?xml version="1.0">
<server>
	<world>
		<shortname>notrdy</shortname>
		<longname> znotreadyyet </longname>

		<!-- Only specify these two if you really think you need to. (read: You don't) -->
