Client Timeout?

So this has me stumped. Perhaps im overlooking the obvious.

I'm on a satalite connection now, been looking into this for quite a while but cant find much information on this problem, except for one thread saying it 'might' be your connection speed.

So the satalite connection gives roughly 1000 pings uploading, which is horrid, yes. I installed titanium three times now, same client that has worked for a long long time now. I am able to connect to the server select screen, yet when i click 'play' it hangs at a black screen, then shoots me back to the login user/pass screen. No error, nothing. Preferably i dont wish to set up a server on this machine to test it, until i get a chance to buy a new system.

Any information would be appreciated.
