Default "You do not have an eq subscription."

I tried to login and get this message. I checked and noticed the eqhost file and been written to point to the everquest.com server. I switched it back to the eqemu server. The system did not change it again but when logging on I still get the message "you do not have an eq subscription"

make sure you created the shortcut to point to the eqgame.exe and NOT the everquest.exe file. And also make sure you used the patchme switch in the properties of that shortcut. It sounds like you might have started EQ the wrong way, which probably patched some of your files. If so, you might need to uninstall EQ, delete the directory and install it again. You don't want any patched files or it will cause issues.

You're not logging in right... When you use the shortcut that Everquest comes with it automatically fixes issues with files, even the eqhost file to point to their server. You have to follow the connection step to the letter or you will mess it up. If it's connected to the live server in any way it probably allready too late and you'll need to reinstall. The launcher files are different.
