We require more information about the issue... otherwise there's not much we can do.

Unless by downloaded you mean installed, that's probably going to be the problem.

From Forum Rules (at the top of each forum):
Quote:
You must have a fresh install (no patches) of Everquest Titanium Edition to play on Standard EQEmulator Servers.

Warez Is NOT Allowed
-This includes the transfer of any copyrighted material, including EQ Files and backpatches. Requesting files, even in a PM, will result in a ban.
Also, from the FAQ:
Quote:
Are there any costs to play the Everquest Emulator?
Other than the ~20$ cost to buy Everquest Titanium, there are no other costs to play the emulator.

What is required to play on an Everquest Emulator Server?
The only requirement is a fresh install of Everquest Titanium (Legal Copy) unpatched.

Can I use the separate Expansion CDs if I have all of the Expansions included in Titanium?
No, only Everquest Titanium Pack will work for the emulator. Nothing else will work.

Is there any place I can download Everquest Titanium?
No, you must buy the actual CDs and install them.
If you are running a legit (purchased), unpatched copy of Titanium, I would recommend reading the Player Support section of the FAQ, especially this part, since it seems like the closest to your issue:
Quote:
I can log into the Server Select screen, but when I try to connect, the screen goes black and then goes to the login screen again.
There are multiple reasons that could be causing this. Here are some of them:

1. Most likely you are running the wrong version of Everquest. Only Legal copies of Everquest Titanium completely unpatched will work.
2. You may want to try other servers to make sure that it isn't a problem on that particular server.
3. If you live in a dorm or are playing at work, you might be using a proxy that is blocking port 5998, which means you won't be able to connect.
4. If you are running a P2P or Torrent program, it might be using all of your bandwidth. Try turning them all off.
5. You may have a firewall that is blocking EQ. Disable all firewalls.
6. If you are running a Dual Core CPU or Windows Vista, you will probably need to read the following post and apply at least one of the fixes listed in it: http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/showthread.php?t=25327
7. You may need to adjust your Windows Desktop and/or your Everquest Resolution settings.
8. Make sure your drivers are up to date for your Video Card.
9. If you have sound enabled, make sure your sound card is working.
10. Try resetting your router. If that doesn't help, try connecting your PC directly to your cable/dsl modem and see if that helps.

I've already recommended the same things to him multiple times.

Here:
http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/showthread.php?t=25219

And here:

http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/showthread.php?t=26040

Keep it all in 1 thread, riff. Posting about the same issue in 20 threads is only going to make it take longer to get your issue resolved. It also wastes the time of people here trying to help and has multiple people saying the same thing in multiple threads.

Somebody posted a torrent of Titanium on a private game tracker so I expect to see more posts like this. :(

Although, it is true some people do legitimately confuse the term "install" with "download." I have a friend who doesn't install programs off a CD, but rather he claims to download them. *sigh*
