The Grand Creation, Gone?
Does anyone know if The Grand Creation is gone for good? I started there as I read it was fairly popular and probably wouldn't disappear, but I've been waiting patiently (Or impatiently ^_~) for the server to come back for two days. Also their page, www.projecteq.com is down as well.
Otherwise, could someone recommend a server with the following qualities?
-As close to live as possible
.perhaps with some experience multiplier
.or faster regen of mana
-Has as much of the old quests in the game as possible
-PvE
-Most importantly isn't likely to vanish =)

Rumor on IRC is that they will not be back. They can not afford to run the server anymore and simply pulled the plug on everyone. I hope that is not true.
Edit: Something is going on with thier website. They either closed it entirely or it's sold but I'm not skilled enough to be able to tell what's up. Have a look.

Their domain is projecteq.net, not .com

Just seems like a server issue. There are some nasty ice storms that hit downing lines, and floods hopefully the server wasn't located in one of these locations. But beyond this it seems like the entire login/servers are going a little screwy recently as is.

yeah, my college got canceled today, and finals for monday got delayed (luckily I had none ), but yeah, the ice storm was pretty bad, trees everywhere, and I mean on the ground, oh, and no power or heat, so they told us all we should go home :/, but PEQ went down like last week, but I guess maybe they got hit by that on top of being already down or the storm just reached me or something

Stop with your silly rumor. There is no money issue with PEQ.

I've actually been checking the correct address:
http://www.projecteq.net/
=) But silly me typed it into the message wrong. Thanks all for the reassurance.

This is normal that the web site is down when the server is down ... they are on same server.
Its not the first time PEQ go down for few days, check this post from september. http://eqemulator.net/forums/showthr...t=26172&page=1
And this quote from cavedude when the server was down in september, will answer to people who was thinking there a money issue about peq

That issue in september I would like ot point out was the only time in the...4 years? that I have played PEQ that it has ever been down more than a day. Issues happen. We'll be back up as soon as possible.

If you don't want to start a rumor, why spread it? PEQ will never be gone, it may very well outlive us =)
