Default UCS Issue

I noticed Derision finished off the UCS, so I figured I would give it a try. I think I got everything setup properly and at first I was getting an error about it failing to start. I finally changed both of the ports for mail and chat to a completely new port (7777) and UCS seemed to start OK. I then connected and noticed I was getting a lot of messages about mismatched chat keys. Right now, I can't seem to send mail or use chat. Though, for a second after logging in, /friend did work, and then it stopped again. This happens on SoF and Titanium. Maybe I am missing some step here to get switched over to UCS properly.

I know you've probably done most of this Trevius, but to get it working it should be a simple matter, of shutting down your existing server completely, copying the new executables from Rev633 or later to your server directory, changing the ports for chat and mail in eqemu_config.xml to be the same, and restarting the server and ucs, and making sure that you don't also try and start the old mailserver and chatserver as there will be a port clash if you are using one of the same ports. Oh, and copying the updated mail_opcodes.conf from the utils directory of the SVN source.

If it still doesn't work, turning on UCS_TRACE and UCS_CLIENT and maybe even UCS_PACKET in log.ini and posting a log would be the next step in debugging.

The mismatched chatkey indicates to me your are using a version of world compiled from prior to Rev633, as Rev633 added an extra character to it to indicate what type of connection was being made (Mail/Chat or combined SoF connection).

I think I have at least part of my issues corrected lol. Somehow, before the update when I shut down the server, it didn't kill the chatserver for some reason. I didn't even notice it was still running until now. That probably explains the port issue I was having at first and also the key mismatch if chatserver was still trying to use the keys as well.

I think I will probably have to do another server reboot for all of the changes I made to take effect fully. Hopefully that will get rid of these problems completely. It's really cool that you were able to get this coded, BTW

EDIT: Rebooted the server and it seems like that corrected the issues. So far, the new UCS seems to work perfectly. I will keep an eye out for any issues, but I don't expect anything major.
