Reload this Page Can't past and coppy the new eqhost.text??

Support::General Support Post all topics here having to do with errors while trying to connect to an EQEMu server but not about the setup/running of the Server itself.

Default Can't past and coppy the new eqhost.text??
I open my Sony/EQ file and go to Eqhost. When i open it and past in the new info and click save, it says denied. It want let me over-write the old file. I have never had this problem before. I'm using Vista on a laptop and I will admit i'm now computer wiz but this seems simple and basic enough. Any quick fixes.

Vista protects all folders inside C:\Program Files by making them read only, to reduce the chances of virus infection and accidental modification/deletion.

You can open a version of Notepad with file-modification privileges by right-clicking the Notepad icon in Start Menu\Accesories and choosing "Run as Administrator".

Then you can browse to and change your eqhost.txt file as desired.
